This is Christiania, an alternative enclave where the bohemian inhabitants of Copenhagen live. In Christiania there is one rule – it is forbidden to take pictures, certainly not ones that would document the many laws that are routinely broken there. Among the soft drug stalls that offer their wares to anyone, you will find makeshift cafes and markets that mainly sell souvenirs with cannabis leaves and Jamaican flags to enthusiastic tourists. Even if marijuana and hashish are not your thing, it is recommended to come here for a short and eye-opening tour.

Christiania: (Christiania): a small autonomous commune, in the heart of Copenhagen, also known as “Little Amsterdam” or “Freedom City”. The hippies and flower boys founded the place about 30 years ago on the ruins of a military camp. Today, it is a colorful and young neighborhood that maintains its liberal character. In the streets and alleys you will find shops, stalls, cafes and more.
