Monte Palace and Gardens Admission costs 15 euros per person. The gardens are open in November every day from 09:00 to 18:00, the museum is open from 09:00 to 17:30, last admission at 17:00. You can arrive by car and park in the parking lot, there is a large and tidy lot, or by cable car from below (https://madeiracablecar.com/en/ ). A round trip ticket costs 20 euros per person. Monte can be reached by car/bus or Funchal-Monte Cable Car. The tropical garden has different parts and gardens, but the main focus is on the lowest area, where there is a large lake, swans, waterfalls… You can walk for two or three hours in Monte Gardens, but if you want to focus, you can visit the Oriental Garden and the central lake.
