Another recommendation for a trip with children is a cruise in Vaporetto to the island of Murano. The main purpose of a visit to the “glass” island of Murano (25 minutes from Venice, if departing from the Piazza Roma and Santa Lucia train station is better to sail with the high-speed DM line) is to observe glassblowers and the glass-making process. It is pleasant to wander through the quiet alleys of Murano and watch the walls of the houses painted in bright and varied colors but the main goal is to watch the process of blowing and producing glass in one of the free workshops open to tourists, which are usually adjacent to shops selling decorative glass products. Real-time viewing of the glassblowing and manufacturing process is an impressive and fascinating exhibit, both for adults and children, especially when watching all the decorative and colored glass products on display and seeing how they were created before our eyes. Definitely worth coming to Murano and watching it. Murano also has a glass museum (for a fee), which displays glass from different periods.
