Gaudi’s Parc Guell is located on Carmel Hill in the Gràcia district of Barcelona, in northern Spain. The park is located in the Calle Olot area and is open every day, including holidays, when the opening hours vary according to the months of the year. The metro station is further away and getting from there to the park area involves a longer walk and therefore, you should arrive with bus lines 24 or 92 since their station is closer to the park, as will be explained below. To your question, the Park Guell has one principal entrance (Principle Entrance) and several secondary entrances (Secondary Entrances), where one of these secondary entrances – the more well-known of the secondary entrances – is located on Carretera del Carmel and is located relatively close to the parking lot and the bus station of line 24 and of line 92 therefore, many come precisely to it and from there enter Park Goel, thus saving many climbs and walks. This is most likely the entrance you were referring to as the back or top entrance to the park. This is actually the eastern entrance of the park, or rather, the northeastern one, facing Carmel Road. The bus stop is on Carretera del Carmel which is in front of this entrance to Park Guell and the station is called Park Guell Station. The official website of Goel Park also states that although it is not the main gate or the main entrance to the complex, thanks to the nearby bus stop and the nearby parking lot, this entrance is often treated as the main entrance, in terms of visits and entry of tourists and visitors to the park. The bus stops on both sides of the road in front of this entrance have clear and common signage for lines 24 and 92.
Line number 24 departs from the Fontrodona-El Molino station in the Avinguda del Paral·lel area and continues to Carmel, as you can read here , and it also passes through Plaça de Catalunya on its way to the Park Guell and Park Carmel areas. As mentioned, when the destination is Carmel (Destination Carmel), the station is called Parc Guell station (Parc bus station Guell), as can also be seen on the route 24 map, here . The two stations, on both sides of the road, are only about 40 meters from each other and are only about 50 to 100 meters from the secondary and eastern entrance of the park (Guell Entrance at Carretera del Carmel), next to the bus and vehicle parking lots for the park.
