One museum worth visiting not only because of its contents but also thanks to the impressive structure in which it is located is the Palazzo Mocenigo, a museum dedicated to textiles, costumes and fashion and housed in a magnificent Gothic palace from the early 17th century. Alongside the shows that feature period fashion, there are six rooms here dedicated to perfume and its history. The interior of the palace is decorated with impressive ceiling paintings, and the original furniture and artwork on the walls are an integral part of the displays and provide a glimpse into the aristocratic life of 18th-century Venice.
